_M_e_t_h_o_d_s _o_f _T_e_a_c_h_i_n_g _R_e_a_d_i_n_g _C_o_m_p_r_e_h_e_n_s_i_o_n

_D_e_s_c_r_i_p_t_i_o_n:

     The `Baumann' data frame has 66 rows and 6 columns.
 The data are
     from an experimental study conducted by Baumann and Jones, as
     reported
 by Moore and McCabe (1993). Students were randomly
     assigned to one of three
 experimental groups.

_F_o_r_m_a_t:

     This data frame contains the following columns:

     _g_r_o_u_p Experimental group;
 a factor with levels:
 `Basal',
          traditional method of teaching;
 `DRTA', an innovative
          method;
 `Strat', another innovative method.
 

     _p_r_e_t_e_s_t._1 First pretest.
 

     _p_r_e_t_e_s_t._2 Second pretest.
 

     _p_o_s_t._t_e_s_t._1 First post-test.
 

     _p_o_s_t._t_e_s_t._2 Second post-test.
 

     _p_o_s_t._t_e_s_t._3 Third post-test.
